Our Services

Medical Examinations

Sexual Abuse is an extremely violating experience, and child victims of abuse often feel that their bodies are ruined. Through our comprehensive child sexual abuse medical examinations offered on-site we help youth understand the physical impact of the abuse and provide hope that they can make a full recovery.

Comprehensive child sexual abuse medical examinations are conducted by volunteer physicians with specialized training in pediatric medicine and the diagnosis/treatment of sexual abuse conduct child-sensitive, non-invasive medical examinations to ensure the child's health and well-being. When applicable, the exam also collects and documents forensic evidence.

Medical examinations are scheduled on a regular and acute basis, as needed.

Resources for Medical Professionals

Medical professionals in the BRACAC’s service area may call the Center for medical consultation; however, the consultation call to the Center DOES NOT meet the requirements for mandated reporting. Please contact your local Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) office or your local law enforcement agency to report suspected child abuse. The Center will gladly assist medical professionals with the reporting process by providing necessary contact information.

If your medical clinic is interested in free prevention materials to utilize in your office, please contact the Center at (270) 783-4357
