Volunteers play and important role in helping the Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center create a safe, welcoming environment for children and families who have experienced abuse or trauma.
By donating your time and talents, you help us maintain a comforting space, prepare for community events, and support programs that promote healing and prevention across the ten counties we serve. Volunteer Opportunities Available
There are many ways individuals, families, and groups can get involved:
- Deep cleaning areas of the building to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment
- Organizing storage rooms, supply closets, and office spaces
- Helping prepare for events such as the Great Teddy Bear Run and other community outreach efforts
- Assisting with event cleanup after community events & fundraisers
- Decorating spaces around the building to create a warm, childfriendly atmosphere
- Creating thank-you cards to recognize and appreciate our generous donors and supporters
- Assembling family activity kits for children and caregivers
- Preparing materials and packets for community education and prevention trainings
- Making blankets for children who receive medical services
- Many other opportunities to support our team & the families we serve
